Located in the rolling
hills of Southern Indiana, Salem
Community School Corporation, with a total enrollment of
2049, is comprised of four schools with a common emphasis on
providing local students with state-of-the-art educational
opportunities.
All
four school buildings are located within walking distance
of one another on the north west edge of the City of Salem. In
all grade levels and subject areas, Salem teachers are
dedicated to increasing student achievement by providing
authentically engaging work for students to do.
As
one of 26 school districts across the United States, Salem
Community Schools have been selected to participate in the Standard
Bearer School District Network.
Working through the Center for Leadership in School Reform,
the Standard Bearer School District Network is a national
network of public school systems that use a set of standards
for developing and assessing their capacity to support building-level
and classroom-level change.
