Schedule for Softball/Baseball Sign-ups

The Salem Parks and Recreation Department is offering the times listed below to register for their upcoming Salem Youth softball/baseball program. The following are included:

T-ball - Rookie (boy’s 8U), boy’s 10, 12, &14 U,
Girls Softball - 8, 10, 12, & 14 U
All must be living within the West Washington and Salem Babe Ruth areas, (Washington, Gibson, Monroe, Jefferson, Brown, Vernon, Howard, and Posey Townships).

Times and dates are as follows:

January
Wednesday January 23, 3-5pm
Friday January 25, 9-12:00 noon
Sunday January 27, 2-4pm,
Wednesday January 30, 4-6pm

February
Tuesday February 5, 9-12:00 noon
Saturday February 9, 9-12:00 noon
Wednesday February 13, 3-6pm
Tuesday February 19, 2-5pm
Thursday February 21, 9-12:00pm
Saturday February 23, 9-12:00 noon

Salem Babe Ruth Spring Clinic, Saturday, March 1, 9:00am
Salem Babe Ruth Coaches and Umpires Clinic, March 8, 9:00am
Salem Babe Ruth Meeting, Salem City Hall, January 16, 6:00pm

**All coaches, league directors, and umpires/scorekeepers, must fill out pertinent paperwork and be accepted by the Park Board before coaching or assuming duties, as a commitment for the protection of our participants. This paperwork does include “Criminal Background Checks”. Prospective coaches are required to attend the “Coaches and Umpire’s Clinic”, if they have not done so. Umpires must be Babe Ruth Certified. This can be done by attending the clinic on March 8th.
