NOTICE - Study authorized to review current plan - NOTICE

The airport's renovation project consists of nine distinct construction phases. Phase 1 is shown by the graphic below. The graphic identifies the various physical changes the airport will undergo during this particular phase.

By selecting and clicking the appropriate Phase 1, Phase 2, etc. TEXT LABELS from the graphic below, the step-by-step physical changes each of the other phases represent will be displayed in a similar fashion.

NOTICE - Recent notification from The Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM) and the Indiana Fish & Wildlife Department advised the Salem Municipal Airport Board, and the contractors of the current Airport Renovation Project, that recently discovered environmental issues necessitate further study of certain aspects of the current plan.

As such, the graphic and text display shown at this site (links noted at beginning of page) will be subject to modification and/or change. When the revisions to the plan have been presented and approved, the current information at the web site will be updated.

With funding for the renovation project left over from Fiscal Year 2005, there will be a continuation of routine maintenance done to the existing facility. Additionally, the following activities will continue towards the goal of the airport expansion and include:
