The City of Salem Street & Sanitation department provides curbside recycling for the City of Salem. Recycling pickup is scheduled for every other week. If you have questions about recycling please contact the City of Salem Streets & Sanitation department at Ph#812-883-2401.
Items to be recycled include:
- tin
- aluminum
- glass
- cardboard
- newspaper
- batteries
- motor oil (in proper containers)
- antifreeze (in proper containers)
Brush/Leaf collection will occur during the months of October/November. Bagged leaves will be collected with regular garbage pickup. Raked leaves should be raked to the curb for collection.
